2007 Shoulder Season Campaign
Fall Marketing Campaign: Shoulder Season Efforts are Underway
As autumn approaches in the land of Great Faces and Great
Places, South Dakota Tourism is gearing up for a successful
shoulder season! As the peak season comes to a close, we can be
proud of the progress made thus far. Inquiries were up
throughout the season, car counts at Information Centers were
higher than last year, and visitors continued to travel, despite
the price of gas.
Now as fall approaches, it’s time to turn our eyes again to Goal
1B of the 2010 Initiative, which challenges us to focus new
energy and investment on expanding the fall shoulder season.
Through new outdoor sponsorships, new Giant Step ads and a
continuingly aggressive media plan, the Office of Tourism is
doing everything possible to bring the visitors to you in the
upcoming months. We’re proud of the progress this industry has
made and we look forward to the continued success the 2007
shoulder season will surely bring.
