The Travel Professionals E-Newsletter is specifically aimed at
the needs of travel professionals and directs subscribers to the
recently redesigned
www.TourSDakota.com for more information. This new site
features sections for Group Tour Operators, Meeting and
Convention Planners and Travel Agents.
National Treasure Promotions
Additional web pages were added to
www.TravelSD.com to
accommodate Disney promotions for National Treasure: Book of
Secrets scheduled to be released December 21. The promotions
include the National Treasure Clue Hunt (Domestic) and The
National Treasure Trail (International). A general information
page,
www.TravelSD.com/nationaltreasure was also added with
information about the filming of the movie and the filming
locations within South Dakota.
Yahoo and Google Pay Per Click
A comprehensive Pay Per Click campaign will continue throughout
the winter season. We will be purchasing key words on both Yahoo
and Google, two of the more prominent search engines used by
consumers.
Banner Advertisements
The Office of Tourism will have two banner advertisements
located on
www.Pheasantcountry.com to drive traffic to both
www.HuntinSD.com and
www.TravelSD.com.
Research
Visitor Relationship Management Project
The VRM project will be nearing completion this Winter
season. This project strives to better understand the
demographics, lifestyle and media attributes of our visitors.
Along with the knowledge of where these individuals are located,
is an invaluable resource that will allow us to spend our
marketing dollars more effectively.
