Regional Tourism Associations

Travel South Dakota partners closely with the state's four regional tourism associations which represent the western, central, northeastern, and southeastern areas of the state. South Dakota's regional associations are independent organizations which are primarily funded by membership fees, but also receive funds from Travel South Dakota.

Convention & Visitors Bureaus

The local CVBs and DMOs (Destination Marketing Organizations) across South Dakota are great partners with the tourism regions and Travel South Dakota. They are also great partners for local businesses, organizations and events. They are not subdivisions of either Travel South Dakota or the regions, but all work closely together to further similar goals. Their funding comes from membership fees and local taxes ... Most participate in Travel South Dakota's Cooperative Marketing programs. We work with South Daktoa communities of all sizes, including those without CVBs or DMOs.

Tourism Coalition of South Dakota

The Tourism Coalition of South Dakota was formed by the visitor industry to fill a void of advocacy representation before the legislature. TCSD was organized so the industry would have a united front and be recognized during the lawmaking process as the statewide advocate for the visitor industry. Its funding comes from memberships and through various fund-raising efforts. Find out more at TourismCoalitionSD.com and Facebook.com/TourismCoalitionSD.
