TRAVEL SOUTH DAKOTA TO HOST ANNUAL SPRING CUSTOMER SERVICE SEMINARS

4/28/2026

PIERRE, S.D. – Travel South Dakota, in partnership with the South Dakota Retailers Association, will host its annual free Spring Customer Service Seminars May 5-7 in five communities across South Dakota.

This year, Travel South Dakota is bringing leadership author and motivational speaker James T. Robilotta to lead the customer service sessions. A trained improv comedian and international speaker, Robilotta is known for using humor to spark meaningful conversations and help organizations build stronger workplace cultures. Attendees will learn how to ask better questions, better understand others’ perspectives and foster a culture of community in the workplace.

The Spring Customer Service Seminars are designed to provide tools, customer service tactics and encouragement for South Dakotans involved in tourism and other service-oriented industries to better serve visitors and customers. These seminars are also valuable for those interested in learning more about the tourism industry and potential career opportunities.

Individuals who work in a business that provides a service to South Dakota visitors or residents are encouraged to attend the free training. Registration is not required.
