TravelSouthDakota.com is the Department of Tourism's consumer website. South Dakota tourism industry businesses and events with visitor appeal are listed on the site free of charge.
All submissions, including updates, will be reviewed by Department of Tourism staff before going live on the site. In addition, the Department of Tourism reserves the right to approve, edit or decline any request.
Please check TravelSouthDakota.com to make sure you are not duplicating an existing listing or event.
The the following are the options for how to get listings on the site:
TravelSouthDakota Industry Portal
With an account in the TravelSouthDakota Industry Portal, you can submit both business listings and event listings and maintain those listings yourself going forward.
As of August 2018, we are temporarily not accepting new accounts. If you already have an account, you can still log in and access your listings in the Industry Portal.
If you do not have an account, you can use one of the following options to submit an event listing or to submit a business listing.
As of September 7, 2018, and until further notice, business listings and event listings cannot be submitted using the following forms. Status updates will be posted here as they become available. Thank you for your patience!
Calendar of Events Listing submission
By using the events-only form, you do not need an account, but you will not have direct access to the events listing(s) going forward. If any changes or updates are needed, you are welcome to contact the Department of Tourism.
All events must comply with the guidelines.
Business Listing submission
The business listing-only form does not require an account, either. Like the events-only form, you will not have direct access to the listing(s) going forward. The Department of Tourism will be happy to edit your listing(s) on your behalf.
