PIERRE, S.D. – Fall is officially here, and Travel South Dakota is inviting travelers to make the most of the season with the Autumn Adventures Passport, a free digital passport highlighting destinations and experiences across the state.
From golden landscapes and canyon views to festive harvest events, the passport inspires travelers to get out and explore South Dakota this fall. More than 30 locations & events across the state are featured on the passport, including Sica Hollow State Park (Sisseton), Spearfish Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch (Spearfish), Zoo Boo (Sioux Falls), and Prairie Village Hobo Marlin Pumpkin Train (Madison).
“Fall is a truly amazing time to explore South Dakota,” said James Hagen, Secretary of the South Dakota Department of Tourism. “With this passport, visitors can find the perfect ways to make memories during this beautiful season.”
The passport is free and easy to use. Travelers can sign up on their mobile device, explore participating locations, and check in as they travel. Each check-in earns points that can be redeemed for prizes through Travel South Dakota’s passport program. No app download is required. Once travelers sign up, the passport can be saved directly to a smartphone home screen for easy access.
The Autumn Adventures Passport is part of Travel South Dakota’s collection of free digital passports designed to encourage exploration throughout the state and connect travelers with South Dakota’s communities, attractions and businesses.
