Governor Mike Rounds presents the
2009 Ben Black Elk Award to Nancy Brady, Rapid City,
at the 2009 Governor's Conference on Tourism.

 

The Ben Black Elk Award is presented annually to an individual or group whose passion and enthusiasm have greatly influenced and promoted South Dakota’s visitor industry.

Nancy Brady, Rapid City, exudes enthusiasm for hospitality and has been providing our visitors with a great experience for more than 35 years.

Brady started her life’s work at a family-owned campground in Rapid City. She eventually moved into hotel management and sales where she continued to influence the customer experience.

In 1993, Brady took over the Rapid City Hospitality Association and is still playing an active roll today by serving as secretary/treasurer. She mans the hot line in the busy months and has been a leader in the hospitality industry for several years.
