The 2024 Governor's Rising Star recipient is Taryn Reidt, Executive Director of the Chamberlain-Oacoma Chamber of Commerce. In her four years as chamber director, Taryn has played a major role in reshaping the community's local tourism and business landscape. Her commitment is exemplified through innovative new programs like the creation of the Hometown Hero Banner Project and the incredible 346% growth in chamber memberships.

Taryn believes in turning obstacles into opportunities. A perfect example of this is the annual gala dinner. When faced with a short-staffed venue, she stepped up and helped serve her gala guests their food. She has rallied businesses and inspired them to up their game while earning their respect and admiration. Known for her positive attitude and for consistently exceeding expectations, Taryn's nominator says she is not merely a director but a catalyst for collaboration, growth and community spirit.
