NTTW 2024 Highlights
 

Travel South Dakota is celebrating National Travel & Tourism Week 2024 (NTTW), May 19-25. For an entire week, we invite you to join us as we shine a spotlight on the travel and tourism industry for driving economic growth, cultivating vibrant communities, and enriching the lives of South Dakotans and all Americans.

Your engagement during NTTW is crucial to magnifying the message that travel is integral to everything we do. Because travel fuels every industry, our success is South Dakota's success. Let's work together to make sure policymakers understand the value of travel and tourism.
 

Ways to Engage

As a department, Travel South Dakota will:

  • Attend events held around the state.
     
  • Conduct media calls during the week.
     
  • Arrange for sites and attractions across the state to be lit up in red in celebration of NTTW, including:

SUNDAY - MAY 19

  • Kick-off by lighting up a building or attraction in red.

MONDAY - MAY 20

  • Highlight the week with a press release or blog.

  • Issue a proclamation alongside a local official.

THURSDAY - MAY 23

  • Host a travel rally with local partners.

FRIDAY - MAY 24

  • Throw an appreciation event for your travel workforce.

SATURDAY - MAY 25

  • Recap an impactful week on social.
