National Travel and Tourism Week
2020 highlights

National Travel and Tourism Week (NTTW) 2020 celebrated the "Spirit of Travel." The Department of Tourism extends a special thanks to our great friends at Crazy Horse Memorial, the Arc of Dreams in Sioux Falls, the World’s Only Corn Palace in Mitchell, and the Children’s Museum of South Dakota in Brookings for showing their spirit and lighting their respective attractions in red (the official color of NTTW) to put a spotlight on the week and the importance of tourism to South Dakota.

Below are some fun NTTW highlights, including a video in which Governor Noem gave a wonderful ‘shout out’ to our industry during a COVID-19 press conference, an appearance by Governor Noem on Rapid City's NewsCenter1, a breathtaking video of Crazy Horse Memorial lit in red, and photos from Crazy Horse, the Arc of Dreams, the Corn Palace and the Children’s Museum of South Dakota all lit in celebratory red.

Here's to celebrating the "Spirit of Travel" throughout the year.
