One of Travel South Dakota's goals is to spread travelers more completely around the state and to introduce visitors to the many "hidden gems'" and out-of-the-way places that South Dakota has to offer. The South Dakota Passports Program makes it easy for visitors and locals to discover unique places, businesses, and experiences across the state — all through a free, mobile-friendly pass.

Want to Get Involved?
Want to have your business, attraction, event or location featured in a South Dakota Passport? Each year, Travel South Dakota updates the program with new destinations and experiences. If you own or know of a hidden gem that should be included, we’d love to hear from you! Contact Alexa Dorn to start the process.
In addition, the passports are also a valuable staff training tool. Whether you work at an attraction, lodging property, restaurant, retail shop or visitor center, the passports help build destination knowledge and provide dozens of options to explore more in the state (and earn points for free swag).
